MATTHEW FEE IS A CREATIVE WRITER, MEDIA PRODUCER, AND CINEMATOGRAPHER
BASED IN CHICAGO, IL.
I began writing short stories when I was an eight-year-old kid. They mostly consisted of superhero quarterbacks that would save the world, but hey, you have to start somewhere.
I graduated from Columbia College Chicago in May of 2016, with a Bachelor of Arts in television writing and producing.
I have three years of training in writing rooms for scripts. I’ve been able to provide insightful feedback to colleagues, as well as receive constructive criticism to develop original stories and spec scripts.
I’ve been able to polish series bibles for two original programs, one a half-hour dark comedy, the other an hour-long drama. I received grant funding from The Ron Norenski Family Production Grant to produce a short script I wrote, shot, and edited.
At Columbia College Chicago I discovered other passions: producing and cinematography. Working as an intern at Big Shoulders Digital Video Productions helped hone my craft behind the lens.
Currently I write and produce television and short film scripts, but I have interest to expand that to playwriting, journalism, and literary narratives.
